At Overlook Park, while enjoying an everything bagel, at least 9 different bird species flew by. A tiny warbler, with its surprisingly bright yellow breast, landed in the mustang grape vine, but it was a yellow-bellied flycatcher who stole the show.
It shot out from an oak branch for a direct hit on a dragonfly. It quickly turned back for the tree, but the dragonfly escaped it’s beak, and like a sputtering, smoking plane, it erratically flew towards another copse of trees where it probably crash-landed.
